Masters of the universe 365 drawings:

1. Mossman

In my spare time (weekends mainly) i will be doing a series of one of my favorite childhood TV shows. Masters of the Universe.

Mossman was always cool to me mainly because of the action figure and his ability to communicate and control plant life.

He only appeared in two episodes of the original series "Here, There, Skeletors Everywhere" and "The Ancient Mirror of Avathar" But i still remember him fondly.

I always wondered why he was so beast looking.....and well, the answer is kinda disappointing..... His figure was a repaint of Beastman and had green "fur" plastered on him. sigh.

He was originally conceived as a foe against Stinkor because the two toys both had scents. Accept Stinkor was never shown in the original series. They only met in a mini comic called "The Stench of Evil".

Man, I had that action toy...one of my favourites when I was a kid. Loved the pine smell that came from him. Ahh, the memories!

Great brush work.

About Mossman and stinkor, they are both in the 2002 Masters of the universe series but not together. I think the new series made them both pretty cool. Mossman in perticular was great and the voice they gave him was halarious, it was similar to the narrator from the old nature shows.
