Here is Superman as i see him, doing what I would be doing all day.......looking somewhat confused while flying around the clouds.
i have to be honest...i have rarely read a superman comic i liked....so i have never really liked Superman in any crazy way. i loved the superman movies with Christopher Reeves, but probably because he was such an awesome Clark. but i am glad he is around, because i have a blast drawing him. also.... this drawing is a completely redrawn and colored version of my first superman pic..... i really dug the pose on it, and it really does capture superman for me, so i had to make it better than the earlier version. Like you, I dislike superman, but this I think is interesting.
just a thought; It would be interesting to see your take on superman in the withered pose in the Dark Knight Returns comic book, the one where it shows the aftermath of a nuclear explosion, if you have any idea of what I am talking about... which you probobly don't.

anyway, about your picture, I really like how he actually looks somewhat un-human...you know? like...the qualities of his face and expression make him look a little less human that...you know..humans. and considering that he's not really human, it works out perfectly! great job mate! *hi five* woohoo!
