Wanted to write a little something for i just watched the movie and am on a visual high.
First off, i know that Alan moore wasn't a fan. Thats fine. Doesn't influence me.
Second off, while i liked characters and certain aspects of the COMIC, i wasn't a big fan. I do however have great respect for Alan, great writer he is. So i am impartial to the comic. (Gasp! but tim!! surely you know that the comic book fans of the world will ride upon you on their tall horses and judge you with their fingers and smirks!?) that i do, but i have never cared, i likes what i like, and hell if i'm gonna be shamed into agreeing with anyone.
So, my impression is that i had a ton of fun watching it, apparently i get off watching people in masks beat the hell out of eachother in stylized dramatic ways. Or naked dudes in red cloaks hack apart hordes of vileness, Ala 300. Nothin to me says "holy shit, that was awesome!" than a dude in an owl costume breaking a guys arm in half..... in slow mo. That in it self makes me wonder about my person....Regardless, i very much enjoy sullen gravely voiced characters in trench coats meandering about a filthy city......it just adds to a movie in my opinion.
So, i dug it......visually.
There was some cool writing as well. But i just can't get behind those kinda story lines where they act like what the characters are realizing for the first time wasn't something we, as the audience, hadn't figured out in middle school already, and are done with. so shut up about it already! i know it sells because its easy, but good lord..... but that is most, and i mean MOST movies for me. So its nothing new. I digress.
I was giddy like a kid, high on sugar cereal, watching ninja turtles on a saturday morning....
I look forward to the hate mail!
love always and forever------Tim

Ruts and Islands and Cintiqs
Hey all, i seem to have dropped of the face of the DA community right?. I feel like i have been in a rut for the last couple years and shit's been real. I have been getting back into it and i hope to share more with you in the future here. I read all your messages and they are awesome, makes me feel all warm inside, so thanks for all your kind words. I moved where it's sunny and live on an Island now, so that's good. I've been writing for a longtime now and maybe soon you'll get to see what. At any rate, love ya all. Thanks again.
Oh yeah, I am selling my Cintiq 12wx and downgrading, so if anyone is up for the 800.00 price tag. let me know.

one of the best movies i have seen visually for sure. i loved Rorschach the most!! his voice is perfect. i think the thing i enjoyed most was how close all of the characters looked like the graphic novel characters.
